Seamless Context, Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 October 2026

This policy explains what information we collect when you buy and use Seamless Context, and what we do with it. We are A.E. Hakes, D.B. Hakes and B.E. Hincapie (ABN 51 080 702 994), in Australia.

1. The plugin on your computer.

Seamless Context runs entirely on your own computer. (Verified 22 Oct 2026 on the shipped build: its helper service listens only on your own computer's loopback address and makes no outgoing connections.) The summary it saves before a compaction and gives back afterwards (which can include short excerpts of your messages and of the assistant's replies, the commands the assistant ran with short results of those commands, and your instructions, and which is replaced at the next compaction), and the small private memory it keeps of what you tell it (the "Continuum memory" the plugin uses), are stored on your own computer, in your Codex data folder and in your user profile folder .continuum\SeamlessContext. They are not sent to us. The software does not phone home, does not collect usage data, and does not contact our servers to check your licence. The licence check happens on your computer using your key. A licence key you paste into a Codex chat is checked and removed from the plugin's notes and memory; Codex itself may keep the message you typed in your own chat history on your computer.

2. When you buy.

We collect the information needed to sell and support the product:

3. Who handles your information for us.

These providers may process information outside Australia (including in the United States). We choose providers that protect information with industry-standard security.

4. What we use it for.

To take your payment, deliver your key and download, resend your key, give support, process refunds, meet tax and legal obligations, and prevent misuse (for example someone publicly sharing a key). We do not sell your information and do not use it for advertising. We will e-mail you about Seamless Context only for your purchase, support requests, and important product notices (such as a security fix).

5. How long we keep it.

Sales and tax records: 7 years (the usual Australian requirement). Support e-mails: for as long as needed to help you, then deleted. Our sales records (the fingerprint-only records above): for as long as the licence is supported, so we can resend keys and honour refunds. Cloudflare and Resend keep short operational logs under their own retention settings.

6. Your choices.

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete what we are not required to keep, by writing to support@actuallyintelligent-ai.com. If you are not happy with how we handle a complaint, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

7. Cookies.

The sales and download pages we run do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Stripe's checkout page uses its own cookies; see Stripe's policy.

8. Security.

Our licence-signing key is held in a secured service store and is never placed in the software or on this website. We limit access to sales records. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell affected customers and the regulator if we ever have a notifiable breach.

9. Changes.

If we change this policy we will update the date above.

10. Contact.
